i like to make friends. it’s nice to know that you have somebody that you can count on, and have someone know that they can count on you too. i get to talk to them, and have fun with them too! i’ve shared so many laughs with so many of my friends. for the ones that know God, it’s awesome when they can keep you accountable for stuff and help you grow. for the ones that are borderline, or haven’t met God, it’s nice to see them grow and learn more about Him. friends are truly amazing!
…though it’s kind of sad when you lose them. sometimes i feel like i don’t try hard enough, or put enough effort into it. i’m focused in my own world: a world of college apps, homework, tutoring, piano……… the list goes on. it’s really hard to keep up with people sometimes. especially through text. i cannot tell you how many times i’ve heard this from different people: “you never reply to me!” i’m sorry. texting isn’t my specialty. i don’t always have my phone on me, and i kind of don’t want to be too attached to it. when i do see the text, sometimes i don’t reply. the reason? i like to think of what to send people before i send it. there are some texts where i go, “how to i reply to this?”, so i turn off my phone, think about it, and end up forgetting to text back. but still, i feel like i’m too focused on myself.
sometimes people kind of just… drift away from me too. i’ve experienced some friendships where i’ve just been trying so hard to keep it going, but it feels like they don’t. it saddens me. and after a while… it feels awkward to talk to them. i think they feel it too. and because of that, i feel like they begin to avoid me. it’s really saddening. but i don’t think there’s anything i can do about it =(
Good reminder for me! I always spend my time with so many other things, I forget to spend time with the ones I love. Seeing this made my day! :)
haven’t “tumbled” for a while. hello! i actually wanted to post a while ago, but i never got around to doing it. so here i go! =)
senior year has been hectic. when i was a junior i was kinda looking forward to being a senior cause i thought it would be easy! i purposefully took kinda easy classes, and only 6 of them so i could have more time to spend with friends and college apps for first semester. but it turns out this year is kinda difficult… =( my classes require a lot of tedious work, and i have to tutor a girl every day, and i haven’t even started on my college apps. this is terrible! oh well… things will get better =). i just need to remember sunday school. Matthew 6:34.
i just finished reading my xanga posts too… pretty interesting haha! i contributed another xanga post today too! things are so different this year… for more reasons than one. i feel like it’s always like that in the beginning of the school year. transitioning is hard. but i’ll get through it.
hi!
i realized i haven’t posted much this summer. i think the pictures sum up my summer =). i’ve done a lot of experimenting with baking and cooking! a lot of them were with my friends! baking is so much fun =)
i’ve also tried to hang out as much as i could with my sister =) right now she’s in spain, so i can’t contact her for the next week. i’m sure she’s having a lot of fun though! the picture with linda’s friends was during july 4th. even though we didn’t blow up fireworks like we do every year, it was still so much fun. i think it’s more worth it to go to the suburbs to watch a 30 minute firework show because we don’t have to do anything =) i’ve also watched harry potter 7 parts 1 and 2 with my sister, and i’m so glad i went with her! she’s a lot of fun!
during august i went to teen camp. i’m really really glad i went this year. i think God has opened my eyes to so many things and i’ve learned so much! i got to meet a lot of great people, and i loved my bible study and cabin mates! from making the boat and going out in the lake, to drawing on jon eng’s face to demonstrate covenants, our bible study was so much fun!!! it was really fun being a siamese twin too hahaha
because we don’t go to the same school, i try to hang out with vivian as much as i can. even though she doesn’t always answer my calls, she’s usually available to hang out so that’s always good! we usually go shopping with each other as dates, and she experienced her first sleepover this year at my house!!! it was a lot of fun =) but next time, i think we should probably sleep on the living room floor because the bed was just too small for the both of us. i’ve also tried to hang out with other people as much as i could! especially the ones that were going off to college, because they were either leaving, or will be super busy!
this is basically all that happened! i think! i can’t believe summer is already coming to an end. i’m not ready for school yet. but that’s okay!
i love baking =) chocolate molten lava cake!
this year’s vbc was so much fun! i’m really glad that i got the opportunity to volunteer and just serve these kids =). i found out how much i love playing with kids, especially the younger ones! they are so cute!!!!! i also got the opportunity to babysit a few kids right after vbc was over, which i thought was pretty cool =). i learned a lot from it, and had a lot of fun! i’m really sad that vbc is over, but it’ll give me something to look forward to next year during the summer! (besides teen camp).
nose is dying again! no pictures this time because i threw away all my tissues =). yay sanitation!
i just realized this is the most i’ve gotten sick in a year! usually i only get sick once a year, but this is already my second time…
i spent this spring break with my sister =) first trip we’ve ever been on that was just the two of us. although i’m almost certain that it’ll never happen again, there’s this little hope inside of me that it will!
tuesday - got off the plane and took the blue line metro. got off at foggy bottom, and walked to our hotel, fairmont. the metro is really nice and cool! it’s kind of expensive though, because rides can go up to 4 dollars, depending how far you go. we went to ben’s chili bowl! though we waited really long, it was kind of worth it! we shared a chili dog and cheese fries =). we later met up with carmen, who gave us a full tour of georgetown. my feet were really hurting, but i had to hold it in. there were cherry blossoms everywhere, and it’s so pretty!!!!! even though i want to go to that school, i’m not sure i see myself in it. we got a really good drink at this cafe, and also got frozen yogurt and sweet green =). at the end of the day, we ate at nuushi, which was a sushi place. too bad we left the tofu fries in the hotel fridge. woops.
wednesday - started off the day with johnny rockets. love breakfast food. then we went to union station to take some pics, walked to a botanic garden, and went to various museums. we went to this native american museum, air and space, an art museum, and natural history. we snacked on trail mix for lunch, but ended the day with italian food. forgot the place’s name though. we also got more frozen yogurt at a different place, called iceberry. it was delicious!
thursday - today was monument/memorial day. we went to the washington monument, WWII memorial, vietnam memorial, korean memorial, the “reflecting pool” (under construction), lincoln’s memorial, FDR’s memorial, George Mason’s memorial, and jefferson’s memorial. we did a lot of walking that day for sure. we ended the day with this really fancy restaurant. most expensive place ever, but the food was so good! it was blue duck tavern. first time i ever ate bone marrow. weird experience…
friday - started off with going to chinatown. pretty big disappointment. we got breakfast near it though! i love bagels. we visited the ford’s theater, the treasury department with a guy named albert, who was the best treasurer! (something i learned). we took pictures near the white house, but weren’t able to get in. that’s okay though =). we went to the navy yard afterwards. the path there was scary… but we made it. later we went back to the union station for some food, and bought some souveniers such as… ncis shirts!!! haha.. even though i don’t watch that show. we ate with andrew that day at this restaurant, went to sprinkles, watched resident evil, then went to bed.
saturday - we did nothing in the morning except watch spongebob! and i did most of my movie questions. we went to the eastern market, where i bought a scarf, and then went to get some really good coffee. i really hope i don’t get addicted to it because i’ve been drinking a lot of it lately… but after we hung out with helen we went to the airport and flew back home. the flight landing was SO good! really smooth.
i really miss DC, but i hope i can go back with my sister again =)
hung out with my small group today! can’t believe that victoria and i were waiting outside of sam’s house for an hour… haha but it was fun! we went to flattop grill to eat. the first bowl i had was really salty, but by the time i got to my second bowl i was really full. thanks sam for paying an extra 2 dollars for me! though i was going to pay it anywayssss.. haha
i’ve been doing much research on prom dresses these past few days =) i have an idea of what i would like to wear, it’s just hard to find. please present yourself to mee!! haha can’t wait to go with stephanie to try on some! some people want to go with me to the glass slipper project, but i don’t know. we’ll see =)
and bad too. i was getting so hyped up that neversaynever is coming out tomorrow, i forgot its taylor lautners birthday....

But next time.. I’d rather just have you. I’m not trying to be cheesy or anything, but you weren’t even here...
That’s a lot of baking for today!
Merry Christmas!
Hi Julie. =)
I was called a dork. I’m rarely called a dork.
I had to look it up.
